License Bugs Corrected

Koingo Software would like to thank everyone for their patience while we completed a massive license/registration/activation system overhaul. Some of the major bugs we've recently fixed:

  1. Products were sometimes becoming unregistered/deactivated with new updates. This should no longer happen with any titles released on November 28, 2008 or later.
  2. Buyers of the Software CD and Utility Package before November 26, 2008 are entitled to free licenses to all new Koingo Software products in the future. However, these licenses were not showing up in user accounts. They should now appear and allow activations.

On that note, our policy for the Software CD and Utility Package has changed for all purchases after this date. Buyers of the bundles are entitled to free lifetime upgrades; however, we are no longer offering free licenses to any new applications we introduce after a purchase.
  3. Fixed a long-standing issue where products which were discontinued long before a purchase date of a Utility Package or Software CD were still being shown in user accounts.
  4. Users were not being notified if new versions of software were available on program launch -- even if they had enabled this feature in the Preferences window.
  5. Reset everyone's activation count so they have the freedom to wipe clean the slate of previous activations incase of issues previously activating.
The latest versions of our products now display how many times you have activated it since the last reset on your account, as well as how many activations are remaining. For more information about the number of activations allowed per license type, please read our FAQ. Activation counts can be reset once every 365 days.
