These retail versions of our apps are intentionally not sandboxed to provide the most flexible user experience. For sandboxed versions, see our App Store editions.

I'm a 78 year old disabled veteran with a progressive muscle disease. My current level of activity is essentially quadriplegic. I have minimal use of my hands and must operate my computer with a joystick for cursor control and a large button switch for clicking. My use of MacCleanse is essential because it minimizes the amount of navigation necessary to remove apps and files from my MacBook pro. This app really helps me maintain my hard drive free of clutter and unnecessary file fragments.

Does a superb job of deleting what you want gone, and leaving untouched what you don't. At first I was a little apprehensive about an app that could possibly delete something important, and delete it well - but my fears have been silenced since using it for the first time. What a wonderful job Koingo has done here.

I've been a big fan of MacCleanse from the get go, having the kind of hard drive that gets clogged with hi-res digital design work files pretty quickly, and usually at the worst time! It shows you how to eliminate unnecessary start-up files that are part of the OS at bootup and those pesky leftovers from incomplete 'uninstalls'. My only critique is I'd like a more simplistic description of what some of these files do, and I can make better judgements as to whether or not I need them - perhaps MacCleanse could recommend back of potentially important, though likely unnecessary, before deletion. Not always clear if after an 'Applications' folder scan, whether or not the erasure is complete, since the list doesn't clear out upon completion and i'm left wondering if I'm supposed to clean it again. Other than that, happy user, easy to use product, would definitely recommend.

Requirements This version requires at least macOS 13 (Ventura from Fall 2022); however, it is designed specifically for macOS 26 (Tahoe from Fall 2025). We have all older versions available for download on our web site. Please use the one designed for your version of macOS. A current, valid, license for any Koingo app will unlock all previous versions. |
